Saturday: No running. I like to have at least one day a week when I can get up without an alarm. That day is my shorter weekend run day (usually Sunday). Without an alarm I can sleep in until about 8-8:30 and then leisurely make it out for a run in the neighborhood. This past weekend we had to attend the little guy's first chess tournament and there wasn't time to fit in a run without setting the alarm. So I decided to squeeze in a few more miles on Wednesday and skip the Saturday run.
Sunday: 16 miles. Sharon and I headed out to Wildwood for our long trail run. Since we were bumping up a few miles from last week we stuck to one of the flatter sections. Honestly, it was pretty boring run. But overall, we both felt good and managed a 12 minute pace even with a lot of stopping.

lookie here a boring post about burning some boring calories on a boring trail with a boring friend and a boring comment.
well off to another blog.
.................
hahaha
I did same thing - I slept in on Sat...till 8:30 am ! It's lile never happened before, so long! I was very happy and didn't dwell on it much. To fit another run meant alarm at 5 am - Stephen's b-day. I skipped the run. Besides, I made 67 M last week, overkill with "slow upping the miles" by all counts.
Somehow, despite struggling, I wasn't bored on my run...but then again, it was nice to get out for a longer trott:)
You beat my long run by 1 mile, but I bet mine was much more boring than yours was. I was on roads in the city and you were on trails. Enough said. I miss the trails.
Love sleeping in. Getting up at 8 is an early day for me:)
I can’t think of anything better then being bored in the great outdoors; I sure wish I was out on the trails this weekend for a boring 16 mile run!
