Race this weekend!

It's been a long time coming and I'm very happy to be racing again this weekend at the Timberline Marathon on Saturday! My last race was the Run Like a Girl 8k on July 15th and my last ultra was Lake Youngs way, way, way back on June 9th. (By the way, that's me in pic #1 and Sharon and Olga in pic #4 on the Run Like a Girl website. Cool, huh?) I've been to a few races since then and being a spectator is a ton of fun. But I'm ready to be a racer again!

My training has been pretty light for the past few months. However I did manage to get in a 20 miler last week and I've been hitting weekly mileage in the high 30's for the past few weeks. I'm banking that my body will remember back to my first 7 months of training and racing this year. I plan to take it easy and have fun. If Timberline goes well, I'm ready to start ramping up the training again for my October and November races. Hopefully it won't be a sufferfest!

Sarah,
I bet you'll be fine! You do have a strong base, and you know how to run smart. Have a great race this weekend.

Sarah you will have ton-o-fun at Timberline. It is big downhill as you know at the start, then a nice climb or two but is nice going home. I wish I could run it too but I have to be here in Reno smoking cigars and drinking beer. I know...but someone has to do it! Have fun!

Have fun at your race this weekend, the route sounds like a lot more fun than the street marathon that I am running this weekend.
