What a nice time for the whole family. So is Marc still going around saying he's not a runner or has he finally come out of the closet:) You are a runner Marc. Look at that smile, look at that medal! What a great time.
Hey great weekend at your house! Looking forward to this weekend - I've got the easy part, hanging out at the aid station. You've got the hard part - actually running! You'll be great!
Congrats Marc! Looks like it was a day with fun had by all :)
And, since I can't see the comment thing on the post above, I'll leave that here too. I'm so sorry your sick! But a lot can definitely change in a few days. I know with me a bad cold is really only bad a day or two. Just keep popping the medicine and hopefully you'll be right as rain for the race :) Sending healing vibes your way!
Okay, how's the cold today? That toatlly sucks! But if it really is just a cold, not the full blown flu, don't let yourself get too depressed. Sometimes those things can turn into a bigger mental barrier than physical one. You may have to reevaluate your goals, but I think a DNF would be better than a DNS. At least then you are giving it a shot. Again though, this is assuming it hasn't become something more serious than a cold. I say gofor it, start conservative, and see how you feel whan you get out there. You never know what will happen, and if you finish and have fun, then that's great even if you had to set aside some of the more ambitious goals this time. On the other hand youcould feel great! Well, get lot's of rest, keep pounding the fluids, vitamins, etc., and I am hoping you feel better quick!! Maybe the power of collective healing vibes sent your way will help...

Congratulations Marc! I've participated in a couple of duathlons and had a really good time. Age group speedster! Nice!
Sarah - See you next week at PCT! Steve and I will be running sweep but we should be around to see you sometime along the way.
